Paolo Piana, our Development Officer in West Wales, received a call from one of our newer mentors recently. The mentor had received the details of a client seeking support into self-employment, and Paolo could tell from the mentor’s voice how enthusiastic he was to get started with the mentoring.
Admitting that he was apprehensive about meeting the client, the new mentor wondered how he might be able to help. He needn’t have worried as all went well with the initial meeting – he was so pleased.

Talking about his first interaction with the client:
“She’s such an interesting person” he said, and added “in my modest way I’m sure I have made a difference”.
Paolo mentioned the famous Winston Churchill quote, when referring to Clement Attlee he said.. “A modest man, but then he has so much to be modest about.”

Our mentors all tend to be modest, often not realising the tremendous, positive impact they have on other people’s lives.
This mentors enthusiasm and sheer joy summed up so much of what we at PRIME Cymru are all about.
