Could running a business work for you?

For single mum Anna Morgan, balancing work with home life was a major factor in her decision to become self-employed.

Anna has had a passion for fitness since her teens. After gaining weight following a bad breakup, she threw herself into training and underwent an amazing transformation.

In 2019, Anna qualified as a personal trainer, but struggled to find work that fit around her young daughter’s schedule.

When Covid hit last year, she was made redundant and decided to take the plunge and set up AMPed Fitness & Personal Training, based in Port Talbot.

A friend recommended PRIME Cymru for self-employment support and Anna was paired with Development Officer Debbie Price, who helped with any queries.

Anna said: “Debbie was absolutely fantastic. She was always available to answer my questions and even helped me out with logo design and setting up on social media.”

Lockdown worked in Anna’s favour, as many people were getting into fitness, and she now plans to expand into a new premises and has her own line of clothing merchandise.

If you would like to follow in Anna’s footsteps and forge a career that works around your home life, PRIME Cymru can help you every step of the way. Contact us on 01550 721813 or email enquiries@primecymru.co.uk.
