New PRIME Cymru Project for over 54s in Flintshire and Wrexham launched.

An exciting new project has been launched by PRIME Cymru for people who are aged over 54 in Flintshire and Wrexham: PRIME Initiative Flintshire and Wrexham.

If you are claiming Employment Support Allowance or are economically inactive you could be eligible for FREE 1-2-1 support to help you to make the first steps towards sustainable employment, relevant volunteering or training opportunities or setting up your own business.

PRIME Cymru has a huge range of FREE opportunities that could be right for you, including: FREE 1-2-1 support to gain confidence and increase motivation, basic computer skills, how to create a good C.V., interview techniques and employability skills, support to move into volunteering or further learning/education, and self-employment mentoring to set up a new business.

Having been unemployed for a long time and being 62 years old I honestly thought my working days were over. I felt no one would want to employ an “old woman” like me… After applying for what felt like hundreds of vacancies and receiving hardly any replies I just felt like giving up. On top of this I was going through health issues and personal family problems. I was at the end of my tether. Then I was referred to PRIME Cymru and everything started to change for the better. I got tailored support and genuine encouragement to look at what I could do. They helped me secure a work experience placement and because of that I secured part time paid work. I now feel I have something to live for and look forward to getting up in the morning instead of dreading another long day on my own. I love my new job and have made new friends, thanks PRIME Cymru.
