PRIME Cymru signs Age Friendly Employer pledge

PRIME Cymru has signed the Age Friendly Employer Pledge, a nationwide programme run by the Centre for Ageing Better.

By signing the pledge, we are showing our commitment to older workers and making our own workplace an age-friendly environment. This means we are taking action to improve our recruitment, retention and development of workers aged 50 and over. Being part of the pledge means we draw on a wider pool of applicants for each job and it allows older workers to continue to thrive and contribute to our charity.

In turn, we can benefit from the innovation and productivity boost that multi-generational workforces bring.

We encourage all employers to consider the skills and experience that older workers have to offer.  Age diverse workforces can drive productivity and innovation, yet many employers overlook older workers and employment rates drastically drop after the age of 55. Workers in their 50s and 60s are key to filling the UK’s labour shortages.
