Judy now has a placement to help her gain recent experience

Judy RhayaderJudy had been economically inactive for several years after her own retail business was forced to close down. This set-back knocked her confidence and Judy was struggling to get back on her feet, feeling isolated and uncertain of her future employment prospects.

“I’d been out of work for a while and feeling very low in confidence. I wasn’t completely computer illiterate but things do move on and I hadn’t kept up-to-date. I really felt that at my age I didn’t have a lot to offer an employer.”

With support from PRIME Cymru Workways+ Powys Project, Judy was found a work placement in an office to help her gain recent experience in an office environment and update her skills.

“Getting a work placement through PRIME Cymru Workways+ Powys Project in an office environment has made all the difference to me. I feel much happier and more confident in my skills and feel that I have learned so much as well as getting used to working in an office again. Thank you!”
