Hi There,
I am just emailing to say a big thank you to Michelle Rydall one of your advisors for helping me find employment.
At the end of October last year I left my job of 8 years as a Quality Control Technician as I was very unhappy in my job and the way I was being treated by my employers.
Machynlleth Job Centre put me in touch with Michelle at the beginning of the year.
After a meeting with Michelle at the Job centre Michelle helped tweak my CV and sent me some helpful tips on CV’s, Training and Applying for jobs.
I explained to Michelle that I wanted to find work that were better hours and something more fulfilling than I had previously been doing. After a few unsuccessful applications I finally got an interview for Assistant Retail Manager at the Wales Air Ambulance shop in Tywyn where I live. After receiving the invite for the interview I got in touch with Michelle and asked if she would mind helping me with some interview practice a couple of days before my interview.
Michelle kindly came to Tywyn on the Monday morning and spent a couple of hours going through questions they would likely to ask, tips on what things they would be looking for and what I should research before the interview.
The upshot was I had my first interview on the Wednesday, a follow up zoom interview on the Thursday and was offered the position on Saturday. The job is the new challenge i am looking for in a position i have experience in and with the hours I have been looking for.
Although I was still nervous in the interview, the fact I was prepared for the questions I was asked and had done the correct research as advised by Michelle was a key factor in me getting the position and I don't think I would have been successful without Michelle's help.
