Our Annual Review for the 2024/2025 Financial Year

A year of delivering high-impact services to every corner of our nation, reaching those most in need of support to become economically active

In a year marked by further reductions in third sector funding, we rose to the challenge. We increased the number of individuals we supported to over 1,500 - an uplift of nearly 50% compared to the previous year. Of those, 96% reported a positive outcome, whether through securing employment, starting a business, retraining, volunteering, or moving closer to their goal of re-entering the workforce.

This work has generated a social return on investment exceeding £2 million, a testament to the value and effectiveness of our approach. You’ll find examples of our impact throughout this annual report, and we invite you to explore more stories on our website.

This year also marked Sarah Finnegan-Dehn’s first full year as Chair of Trustees. Her leadership has been instrumental in guiding our dedicated board. We were delighted to welcome three new Trustees - Fiona Jones OBE, Ross O’Keefe, and Michael Curties - whose diverse experience and skills have further strengthened our governance and strategic capacity.

We were proud to achieve the Green Mark accreditation, recognising our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and promoting a more sustainable future. This joins our existing Investor in Volunteers and Quality Assurance accreditations, reflecting our ongoing dedication to excellence in the third sector.

PRIME Cymru remains Wales’s only charity dedicated to supporting people over 50 back into work. We are here because of you and we couldn’t continue our life-changing work without you. Please keep working with us. Together, we will make it work for people over 50 in Wales.
